Kristi and her family moved to Charlottesville and became part of the Miller School community in 2011. They love living on campus, eating in the dining hall with friends, attending sporting events, and utilizing the extensive trail system to bike or hike with their dogs, Tucker and Ranger. Kristi worked for a local public school as an Intervention Specialist for 13 years before joining the Seven Rivers Team in 2022.

Kristi attended UNC Asheville from 1993-1998, majoring in Psychology and Education. While at Asheville, she played Division 1 soccer for 4 years and led her team to a conference championship in 1995. She was inducted into the UNC Asheville Athletic Hall of Fame in 2019. She went on to pursue her master’s degree in reading and literacy in 2000. She has a passion for children and devotes her time developing meaningful connections with students. She believes that if a student feels cared for and listened to they will respect and learn from you.  Nothing makes her happier than seeing a student understand something for the first time and witnessing their self-confidence soaring. Kristi has worked as an educator for over twenty years.

Kristi, her husband Ralf, and daughter Jordan love traveling. They have visited numerous national parks and state parks across the country, traveling throughout the US in their cozy camper. She has also lived abroad in the Netherlands and Portugal. Fitness, reading, and crafting are her favorite activities in her spare time.

Kristi works as a Language Arts teacher, reading specialist, and math tutor, providing whole group and one-on-one opportunities for learning.
