Lisa Schropp is a teacher and math specialist with thirteen years of experience in education.  She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood education with a math/science concentration from James Madison University and a Master of Education degree from the University of Virginia.  She holds a pre-K through sixth grade teaching license and a kindergarten through eighth grade math specialist license.

Lisa has taught elementary school for nine years and middle school for four years.  She has thoroughly enjoyed teaching and looks forward to seeing her students’ smiling and enthusiastic faces each morning. Her determination to help students learn and enjoy school inspired Lisa to pursue her master’s degree in education.  Realizing her passion to help students make progress along their personal academic path and change their affect toward school and mathematics, she also spent significant time tutoring.

She joined the Seven Rivers team in 2017 and loves working in an environment where school is an enjoyable place for children to learn, grow, and be active members of the community.  Lisa and her husband have a nine year old son and a six year old daughter. Lisa enjoys time with her family hiking, playing sports, and traveling to visit family and friends.
