MOLLY COOK

Molly is an educator and lifelong learner with a career rooted in curiosity, creativity, and meaningful connection. She holds a Master’s degree in Teaching from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon. She has spent much of her 9+ year career teaching kindergarten and first grade, as well as sharing her passion for creativity through art education.

With experience in inquiry- and play-based learning, Molly believes children thrive when they are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and discover the world around them. Her time serving with the Peace Corps Thailand further shaped her appreciation for community, collaboration, and cultural connection.

Molly was drawn to 7R because of how deeply its mission and values align with her personal and professional philosophies. The opportunity to contribute to a team that shares her approach to learning and growth felt like a dream job.

Outside of work, Molly loves spending time outdoors in every season and all types of weather. She can often be found in the garden with her husband, Ian, and their Australian Cattle Dog, Tippi. Molly also has two cats, Charlie and Cheese Puff, who enjoy socializing on their own (very specific) terms. Molly enjoys gardening, painting, hiking, kayaking, reading, and finding little ways to celebrate each day.
