Hi, I'm Rachel!

I love diving into exceptional books, exploring nature, and contemplating and creating art. It’s so meaningful when students connect with big ideas and consider how their story fits into the wider world. 

For the past two years, I worked in Miller School of Albemarle’s Development Office, where I organized community outreach. Before that, I built the library for 400+ students at a K-6 charter school in Boise, ID; while there, I also led the enrichment program for 70 high-achieving students.

Sometimes in the kaleidoscope of life, pieces of an experience from one place appear later in an unexpected way: while touring through Mongolia, I stayed in felt gers (yurts), and now I’ll be teaching in one! 

Seven Rivers students are insatiable learners and adept explorers. I am thrilled to join this community where learning is an adventure, and the classroom spans 1,100 acres.
